bpDAO Basics

bpDAO is the organization for governing the operation of breakpoints.live and its people (members) and resources.

bpDAO members are doing their jobs by hosting and/or joining the recorded Build in Public calls/sessions, typically via Google Meet / Zoom live-streamed to Youtube channel @breakpointslive.

Member Types

There are TWO categories of roles in bpDAO

  1. DAO Governance Member, who's working as Hosts and/or Editors.

  2. DAO Member, who's hosting and/or sharing their insights or intelligence as guests.

A Governance Member is firstly a DAO Member, who's hosting guests on Breakpoints.live's topics, insights and referrals. However, DAO Members MUST go through a referral, review and approval workflow among Governance Members to qualify them before joining any recorded sessions.

Participation

You must meet the following criteria in order to join our conversations or even become a Governance Member,

  1. an active subscriber of this website's newsletter

  2. an active subscriber of Youtube channel @breakpointslive

  3. Request to join and contribute to our episodes (Google Form upcoming for open application)

bpDAO has been working with selected partners and clients worldwide, especially on the New Asia regions, to host and entertain our global audience.

Work-to-Earn Rules

4 Roles and their jobs

These are founding member or governance member roles, who can also join as Host, Guest, or Editor as defined below in Work to Earn Rules (by Roles).

  • Customers / sponsors, who're paying / sponsoring the channels and request the benefits from the DAO Governance Members who's curated the content, insight and referral, which may have significance for business opportunities or success.

  • Host/Co-host, propose themes or topics for a recorded session, then host them and contribute

  • Guest Speaker, domain professionals who's invited by the Host AND approved by one of the Governance Member as qualified to present in Breakpoints.live shows.

  • Editors, at least be one of the Governance Members who's also fluent user of the Tools & Apps

bpDAO Governance

bpDAO token insurance, distribution and earning rules are defined to maximize community participation and held Governance Members accountable for aligning their work and contribution to serve Breakpoints.live's mission.

bpDAO tokenomics & governance detail is open for authorized members only, and will be disclosed in group calls upon requests.

Work-to-Earn Rules

bpDAO's work-to-earn rules are defined as follows,

Revenue & Split Rules

  1. Revenue is journaled by episode, ONE episode also corresponds to ONE of the posts on breakpoints.live, offering paid customers additional insight and referral service

  2. Revenue is split and settled per episode each month/quarter since its public release

  3. Host and Guest Speaker(s) share 51% of the per episode revenue, to reward their initiative and work for hosting/speak for the episode. Host(s) and Guest(s) evenly share their split or by negotiated split rules among themselves.

  4. DAO Governance Member who's ALSO Editor(s) share 49% of the per episode revenue, to reward their editing, publishing and promotion work. Editors evenly share their collective 49% split due.
